This table provides metadata for the actual indicator available from Rwanda statistics closest to the corresponding global SDG indicator. Please note that even when the global SDG indicator is fully available from Rwandan statistics, this table should be consulted for information on national methodology and other Rwandan-specific metadata information.

| Other information |
The data source also contains information on public transport usage rates, and on reasons for not using public transport (too far, poor quality service, no need, infrequent need, too expensive, other). |
| Comments and limitations |
This indicator uses walking distance as a proxy measure for convenient access to public transport. It does not account for other aspects of convenient access, such as cost; accessibility to special-needs customers; frequency of service; or comfort and safety in the transport environment. This indicator may be usefully supplemented by the other measures available in the data source. The global metadata for this indicator suggest a benchmark of 500 m distance from reference points for convenient access, whereas this measure includes walking distances of 0-19 minutes, which can be up to approximately 2 km in distance. Additionally, reflecting the evolving best practice in poverty measurement, a number of important methodological changes were made for EICV7 (2023-2024). Please see the linked data source for more information on methodology. |
