This table provides metadata for the actual indicator available from Rwanda statistics closest to the corresponding global SDG indicator. Please note that even when the global SDG indicator is fully available from Rwandan statistics, this table should be consulted for information on national methodology and other Rwandan-specific metadata information.

The full national vaccination programme for children up to 35 months includes BCG, three doses of DPT-HepB-Hib, four doses of OPV, one dose of IPV, three doses of pneumococcal vaccine, two doses of rotavirus vaccine, and two doses of measles and rubella. A selection is reported here; data on the other vaccines are available at the linked data source. |
| Comments and limitations |
Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) figures on diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine coverage are available from 2008. Figures on measles-containing vaccine second-dose coverage are available from 2020, although figures on single-dose coverage are available earlier; Rwanda introduced the second dose in 2014 and this was not yet reflected in the DHS 2015. Figures on pneumococcal conjugate vaccine coverage are available from 2015; this vaccine was introduced in 2009 and was not yet reflected in the DHS 2010. Figures on human papillomavirus vaccine coverage are available in 2025 only; due to the lack of comparable timeseries data, this series is not reported here. |
