| Definitions |
Survey participants were asked what type of drinking water source their household used. This indicator is calculated by taking the sum of participant households who were using any improved drinking water source as a percentage of the total number of participating households. |
| Calculations |
Number of households using improved drinking water source / Total number of households * 100 |
| Other information |
This indicator includes disaggregation by degree of urbanisation (Urban/Rural). |
| Comments and limitations |
This indicator is measured at the household level rather than at the individual level. Additionally, reflecting the evolving best practice in poverty measurement, a number of important methodological changes were made for EICV7 (2023-2024). Please see the linked data source for more information on methodology. |
